Hey,

You should really see this show.  It's a great bunch of guys and really talented artists.  I mean, if you look at the list of names, their work might not make sense together, but believe me, once you see the show, it will all make sense.  Because what's really being shown is their individual personalities as they apply to their given bodies of work as a whole.  It may seem like just an excuse to put together a summer show with landscape painters, but really, you'll get a sense of who they are as artists, even though the subject matter's the same, trust me.  I think Derrida called it "la difference," where you only grasp the significance of something by the sameness that surrounds it, or something like that.  I also think that nature is a good escape from all the recent turmoil in the world, and these guys are kinda tired of engaging cultural signifiers.  I bet they wish they could be naked in bed with a beautiful blonde art dealer.  The thing is, a lot of these guys don't address nature as a full-time part of their art, but if you take a part of their work dealing with landscape, you'll learn stuff about them they probably don't even know about themselves.  You know what I mean?  Plus most of the artists are hot, are represented by hot galleries, and the show is in a hot gallery.  So if you're a critic, there's no gamble at all, no risk to your reputation.  So you should come see the show, it will be fun, except for the fact that everyone will be in Europe.
